Default More Cheap Blue Ink Color Comparisons

    More Blues

DC Supershow doesn't look that far off from Visconti.

Color perception is a curious thing. I think of DC Supershow Blue (DCSSB) as being exactly like one of the "modes" of Parker Penman Sapphire (PPS). Never thought of it as being close to Visconti Blue, which is one of my favorites. PPS looks different depending on the angle, the light, the time of day (meaning how the sunlight hits through an office window). DCSSB seems to catch one of those, but not the "aura" or the changing quality.

Noodlers "plain" Blue looks like nothing else...it makes a good switch-off ink after I've written a topic using Dianine Sapphire or Iroshizuku Asa-gao, a pauir of purple-shaded blues. Though I wish Noodlers came in bottles with a lower center of gravity, and I don't need that extra quarter-ounce that fills a Noodlers bottle so full that you risk a spill when opening for the first few fills. (I "decant" Noodlers into safer bottles)
