Oh it has to be the full version of the Count. I've lost count of the number of times I've read it.
To be honest I didn't even know there was a short version until I saw a discussion on Goodreads.

Yes, definitely the true version. In my experience the biggest issue people have with The Count is that it's confusing. And that's because the abridged version leaves out an incredible amount of information. They introduce characters and scenes out of the blue with no background and it's quite difficult to keep track of all that's going on. The unabridged version looks daunting, but it's actually a much easier read. It's one of those books that I'm just perpetually reading. Have yet to tire of it

Just finished Throne of Darkness, the third book in Douglas Nicholas' series that began with Something Red. Loved it. (Kind of sword and sorcery/horror in 13th century England.)

The Great Divorce by CS Lewis which appeared mysteriously (!) in my library carrell so decided to re-read it.
Up to Canto 20 of Purgatorio.
Cursive Logic by L. Shrewsbury--reviewing for my son's summer projects.
Maps, Graphs, and Charts--another candidate for DS's summer projects. They don't teach these last two at his Charter School.....

I love reading Nevada Barr books, read "Destroyer Angel." Very suspenseful book about surviving. As always a very good read from one of my favorite authors
Currently reading "Black Order" by James Rollins. The book has many subplots, twist turns that link back to the Nazis. Very engaging read.

Completed Book 1 of Kristin Lavransdatter , The Wreath, by Sigrid Undset, Nunnally translation. This book in its entirety was a Noble Prize winner for Undset in 1928.
Still in Purgatory...

I just finished The Man With the Aura, the second volume of collected stories of R. A. Lafferty, a writer that is strange and wonderful. He can be biting and ironic or lyrical, but always unexpected. Quite a ride.

I just finished The Three-Body Problem by Liu Cixin. It was a very unique sci-fi book. It is a trilogy and the other two book have been written but have not been translated into English yet.
