When it is 75 below zero, a man must not fail in his first attempt to build a fire.
This is especially true if his feet are wet.

For the main thread: "Rules of Civility" by Amor Towels; liked it so much I'm now reading his new book: "A Gentleman in Moscow." Terrific!

The Exorcist by William Peter Blatty. This book never gets old. Currently re-reading one of the Arkham House volumes of HP Lovecraft's collected tales. Horror is my favorite genre.
Conspiracy of Secrets, by Bobbie Neate.
This rather disturbing read, tells us what an appalling man was the late Louis T. Stanley.
It also convinces me at least that he was the illegitimate son of British Prime Minister H.H. Asquith.
Fascinating.
