    Countdown 1945, by Chris Wallace.

Account of the 116 days from the time then Vice-President Truman was notified of FDR's death to the bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

Included is a photo of Major General Leslie Groves Jr. at his desk holding a fountain pen.

Just read The Sound of His Horn, by "Sarban" (John William Wall) a rather disturbing alternate history novel which I'd describe as science fiction, although Kingsley Amis, in his introduction, classifies it as fantasy.

Written in 1952, it imagines an alternate world, some hundred years after World War II, in which Germany had won. It's quite short, 120 pages not counting the introduction. And speaking of that introduction, if you get this edition, I recommend that you read the intro last. Amis gives away some plot points for no particular reason that I can see, although otherwise his thoughts are worth reading.

Hello! Today I am a third year student of the Faculty of Law, so it is difficult for me to unequivocally answer this question, since every day I have to read a lot of books, new laws, and so on. This all takes almost all my free time, I even bought myself e-readers for students, which is very convenient. Now with the help of this I can study even when I go to university, it saves my time a lot. I made this decision after I wrote an article on the site https://www.igeekphone.com/best-e-readers-for-students/ which said that this is a great alternative to transferring bulky books with hundreds of pages, which are not even always fit in a backpack. Besides, at my young age I already started having problems with back pain. Take care of yourself, I wish you all good luck and a good end to the school year.

I used to LOVE reading Edmund Crispin quite a LOT on the fast-moving wobble of streetcars in younger days. I’m quite sure he’s still in the Mysteries area of my book boxes in my garage. I must get them out to see if my current eye-glasses are actually good enough to reread them without my arms extended! Amazing how fast time goes but it slows down in some other ways.

I just finished binge reading the "Grant County" and "Will Trent" series by Karin Slaughter. The descriptions of the violence are quite graphic but if you can get by that the stories are very well written. They are crime / mysteries.

Pushing Ice by Alastair Crowley. It is a very good book in the space opera subsection of SciFi. The author does uniquely good job of conveying the vastness of space. The story and characters grow in phases that initially seem kind of outlandish but it settles into something more believable shortly after. If you're into this genre I can highly recommend it!

I use to be a reader on general and Philosophy and mind power stuffs. Then also used to read novels and fictions.
I find it I don't like to read any more novels except two writers.
Danielle Steel and Mary Higgins Clark.

    So I reread a book " Daddy's Little girl "

I usually have three going at a time. One silly fiction for fun, one on history, and one wild card - which can be anything. I've just wrapped up:

El Borak and Other Desert Adventures by Robert E. Howard. Typical Howard pulp fiction, but it's amazing how a guy from nowhere Texas can vividly and accurately conjure up Afghanistan and imperial intrigue from visiting the library.

Hannibal by Jacob Abbot. From the "Makers of History" series on historical figures available at the Gutenberg Project, this one's about the maniac who took elephants over the Alps.

The Madness of Crowds by Douglas Murray. I really have enjoyed the longer interviews from this guy, and figured I'd read his latest. Insightful and inciteful, he makes a compelling argument about the problems of today's culture.

I don't know if I mentioned I had read the latest Murderbot book, Network Effect. I loved it. I see that Martha Wells is writing another book (or novella--it doesn't matter to me as long as Murderbot keeps coming).

I just finished Spring by Ali Smith. I love her books. Also read Everything in this Country Must by Colum McCann. He's another favorite of mine.

Currently reading Christina Schwartz's novel Bonnie, about Bonnie Parker. Also a book by Henri Nouwen, Life of the Beloved.

Nice. I'm about 2/3 through his "How to be an Anti-racist" on audible. It will be quite awhile longer but it's been excellent.

I haven't read John Grisham in a while because I think he lost his early form. However, I just read his book The Guardians and liked it.
If I was writing a review I might say that the last 15-20% seems rushed, almost like he suddenly decided to finish it quickly.

The Far End of the Journey: Lowell Observatory's 24" Clark Telescope.

A history of the 24-inch refracting telescope that Percival Lowell had made for his observatory so he could study Mars. Filled with photographs of the facility, telescope, and with pen and ink observing logs, telegrams, etc.
