Last two finished were both by Anatole France, The Reine Pedauque, and Penguin Island. Both in English translation.
In progress now (I tend to skip around).
S., by Doug Dorst. Interesting experimental format. A "library" copy of a novel by a fictional author, with two college students carrying on an intense dialog by way of marginal notes, and documents left between the pages. The book comes in a cardboard slip case with a tape closure, so that everything doesn't fall out before you have a chance to get to it.
A Column of Fire, by Ken Follet
Earth Abides, by George R. Stewart. If you're not familiar with that one, but look it up, you may see how it might be "relevant". Although hopefully not all that relevant.
