The Arnold Pen Co came from the ashes of the Southern Pen Co which was the remainder
of the Edison Pen Co., all in Petersburg VA. Edison folded in the late '20s after making some
spectacular pens.



Southern emerged at the arrival of celluloid, mostly with combos,



Arnold came in he early '30s with lower quality pens on a par with Wearever.
