Anyone who watches this seller's flex nib auctions knows the fireworks finale is usually in the final minutes. It's awesome!

I think I'm going to stay up and watch the fireworks, only 30 minutes till' the show's over. This guy's auction ending prices make me laugh, I bought a very similar pen to the one this thread is focused with a Waterman 52 1/2 and a bunch of parts pens on ebay for $50. It's selling for over $300 as we speak...

Just found this a few minutes ago--drawn in by Manny's beautiful Esterbrookship. 3 minutes to go.....any guesses now would be sniping, right?

    Wow, it ended at $338!

Maybe I'm a bit tight, but I would've thought half that amount to be a little over the top. Who are these people that are willing to pay $300+ for this, I wonder? Not the best condition, I might add. But I'm sure glad that someone here has won that lovely prize from Manny.

wowza.. I had made the prediction of 311 as a half-hearted attempt at humor. I do think vintage flex is awesome, but wow.

Sunday night must have a lot of pen hunters really aching for a flex pen.

Thank you for posting the writing samples!

Hmm...I wonder how many of my pens would I need to give up to get that #7 pink!

Well mine is plain black, not nice and ripply. Lovely lovely nib. But I need a new kilt and that nib could potentially buy it for me.
