    Default Vintage Hummingbird Inkwell

    Here is a fun, vintage inkwell I found on Thebay.

    The base is abalone shell, the hummingbird is painted metal. The top of the glass well is more of a verdigris finish than what we see in this picture. The lavendar you see is reflected from the breast of the bird. There is an insert in the glass to hold the ink away from the well itself.
