Brand new to fountain pens, brand new to writing letters and this will be my first time doing anything like this. Super excited. Quick question, I'm in the US. When I'm sending mail out to other countries,how do I go about that? Are there extra costs, do I have to fill out a customs form, or anything like that? Please let me know!

As of January 26, 2014 Postcards will go from 33c -> 34c, Domestic Under 1oz (standard size) 46c -> 49c, International $1.10 -> $1.15
Forever stamps bought before rate increase will still work. There are Domestic as well as International Forever stamps. Unless you are sending something other than a letter, you will not need to worry about custom paperwork.

Hi Hal! You can get global forever stamps for letters. The customs forms are only if you're sending out a package. The global stamps are $1.80 ( I think) but the rate might be going up a bit this year, I'm not sure. Stamps are all you need!

If anyone else wants to read letters that are at least 4 pages long and deal with football, books, hobbies other than pens, and pens/paper/ink/etc, please drop me a line. I've been writing letters since last February, so we're keeping my post office in business.
