    Default Diamine Steel Blue

This is a really unusual blue. Almost a green.

    A lovely review! It's a colour I hadn't really considered - up to now. Thanks a lot.

I'd call it teal. Thanks for the review.

I agree, it is more of a teal than a blue. But I find myself using it a lot lately!

Murfie kindly sent me a generous sample bottle of this and it has become one of my favourite inks.

I think this is a very appropriate name for this ink. It's teal blue.

Diamine already has a teal and it's not like that. I think this is more baby blue, at least for the writing. For inkguy, I dunno what colour that could be.

Whoa. I was expecting more of a gunmetal grey-blue with a name like that.

Thanks for sharing. Bogon showed me this ink after taunting me with the now elusive c d'a caribbean sea. I may have to buy this one before it too becomes extinct.

I like this blue, and prefer it to the other blue I bought from Diamine - Mediterranean Blue.

I've actually just realised this is the colour I wrote in my correspondence diary noting incoming and outgoing post. Maybe I should reply to one of the InCoWriMo letters in Steel Blue!

Soft mint is lighter than the steel although their color tone are a little similar.

Diamine Teal is like the dark blue green. The Steel looks like the greenish turquoise

Lovely colour, very similar to J Herbin Blue Pervenche which i have only just discovered and absolutely adore but i may have to buy some of this and compare the two side by side.

Perhaps we have different eyes but the pervenche i use does have the slightest hint of green perhaps not as much as this steel blue but i would describe it as a shade of turquoise which, to me at least, is greeny blue.

You are very likely right, I can never see the green in turquoise, myself. Either way Pervenche is much bluer and less green than Steel Blue, which to me is more like a green that is very blue.
