This is my little girl Heather who sadly passed away in September I wish I'd put them up before she passed so you could see what a beautiful little soul she was. As you can see from the second pic she liked her comfort!

Thanks guys, I miss her like crazy but I'm thankful for the time I had her. Rudyard Kipling was right - Why give your heart to a dog to tear?

Before Abbey, before Princess & Sunshine, before Madeline there was D'Arcy & Demi. D'Arcy was a long haired Dappled Dachshund, one of a pair, likely brother and sister, that were abandoned on US 17 in Brunswick, GA. They were found tied to a traffic sign by one of the biologists and brought to headquarters. She immediately attached herself to me while her brother chose one of the women biologists. About a year later the head of the local Environmental Protection Division office had a bunch of puppies and one seemed to attach itself to D'Arcy. It was small enough that at the time it road in my shirt pocket with just its two paws, head and red tongue showing. At that size the obvious name was Demitasse, shortened to Demi.

    and later...

She did well. We have a 13 1/2 yr old black toy poodle and although his face is a little grey, people think he's young too. We hope he has quite a few years left.

Holly update she has settled really well with the mad spaniels last weekend we took her to the beach she had a nice wander around the vet confirmed she is not in pup more likely she had recently had a litter really makes me mad.
Pyametra is a worry now so she will be spayed on Tuesday.

She is still over weight but is on a good diet and gets regular exercise now so the weight will come off in a measured way,
Holly has started to do a little dance with her front paws when she is happy it is so good to see the change in her considering where she came from.
I have convinced the trustees of the NESSR charity to make the calendar available world wide www.nessr.net should get anyone to the web site I hope it is ok to add that as they are short of funds for vets bills.
I will keep you all updated on her search for a forever home.
    Thanks
    Michael

I thought you would like to know that Holly the black Labrador is going to her new home tomorrow.
She is a real character and will be missed here.

This is Pepper, he's almost 14 and he's a fun loving, friendly and playful toy poodle. He has the best temperament - always happy, full of fun and he greets every person he sees as if he's waited all his life to meet them and knows they've been dying to meet him as well.

He has brought us enormous joy every single day of his life so far.
