Apologies for the poor iPhone quality. This is Greta and Milton. Our standard wirehaired dachshunds -- 3 and 6 years old. We're packing up house (moving next month) and they are skeptical of the encroaching invaders (boxes) that are filling up the apartment.

Technically this is not my dog we are fostering her for a Spaniel rescue here in the UK she is an ex working dog who has developed an unfortunate habit of chasing shadows.

She needs lots of exercise and a good diet to start with.
Thanks
Michael

You put a big ol' Mom shirt on me???
AH-HA-HA-HA-HA-HA-HA!!!
Ok, are we done now?
Poor boy. Shamus has been chewing on his left foreleg and creating a big sore spot. A gauze bandage didn't work (or last over 2 minutes), so trying this instead. So far, so good. He hasn't been able to nudge the sleeve up far enough to chew on the spot. If he keeps at it, though, next up is a ride to the vet.

My sweet chihuahua passed away on Saturday. It was sudden and now life is empty without Tyson's presence. He was my child. Dogs certainly have a way to wiggly themselves into your heart for a lifetime.
Crazyorange, I am so sorry for your loss. Your little Tyson looks like he was a very fine family member. His memory will be with you for another lifetime.

So sorry crazy. They are most certainly family and much missed.

Thank you so much for your kind words.

Crazyorange My condolences to you on the loss of Tyson. It is almost an insult to call them pets, for we all know better.

Thank you all so much. Tyson was a great dog. I adopted him when he was 3. Previous owner never house broke him, so she kept him locked in a crate to stop him from peeing on the furniture. Within 10 minutes in my house he peed on the coffee table, couch, curtains and radiator. With time and patience I trained him, but he still loved to mark the coffee table. It took time for him to learn how to cuddle - I could see he wanted to be loved but didn't know how. I loved him even more knowing he wanted to be loved but spent three years pretty much by himself. (Though previous owner never abused Tyson and he was well cared for.) The one thing special about him - He would greet people (entering the house) with a toy.

I don't have a dog. Almost every morning at work, however, when I'm getting my morning coffee at the Keurig machine, I can look down and see this fellow, whose name is Scooter. His owner is the mechanical maintenance guy at our station, a satellite communications teleport. Scooter comes in with him and spends most of the day either sitting in his office or following him around outside. At the start of the day, though, he comes down to the main operations area and visits with all the technicians. We keep some treats for him by the coffee machine, which was what he was asking for when I took the picture.
We don't have many customers visiting the station, and no end users, so it's possible to be a bit more relaxed about things like this. Makes things more civilized. We have had other dogs come in, but they aren't regulars like Scooter. I wouldn't mind having a cat around too, but they climb, and there would be more potential for a cat to get where he could do some damage. Anyway, it hasn't come up yet.
