I have read people posting about their dogs, so show them off! This is Daisy Dane Dogue. She is a rescue and has been with me going on six years. We have not missed a day doing walkies for all six years. Unless I was out of town, she has this clock in her head that tells me it's time to go smell the world.

This is Kluane, our black lab/newfoundlander cross. She's going to be 9 years old this year, and she refuses to sit still for photos

We recently rescued a Basset from from a rescuer. She is a very sweet dog. She is learning our rules doing a great job at it. Her name is Bailey.

Where to start we foster dogs for a rescue charity and over the last few years we have had about 50 foster dogs.

I will start with our own

This is Millie 5 year old ball obsessed springer spaniel

    IMG_0546 by my0771, on Flickr

This is Keela came from the NESSR rescue like Millie

    keela3 by my0771, on Flickr

And Diesel also from NESSR and brother to Keela although he came into rescue a year after Keela did both ex breeding dogs so their history was known to the rescue.

Click on an image and it will take you to flicker where you can waste time looking at all the foster dogs one eyed Jack the puppy will bring grown men to tears.

Skittles has been with us a few years now. We rescued him from our local animal shelter. He still has issues with being scared really easily. He still is a little afraid of me sometimes. It reminds me of the movie "50 First Dates". Once he has a chance to get close to me then he realizes I am his friend and he is fine. Next day it is like he never knew me all over again.

He is the one on the top. Fifi is my brother-in-laws Chihuahua. They were on a play date.

    Basenji
    Dog Breed
The Basenji is a breed of hunting dog that was bred from stock originating in central Africa. Most of the major kennel clubs in the English-speaking world place the breed in the Hound Group

    This is Harley "Batman" Davidson

The Kennel/shelter where I got him Named him - I swear I had Nothing to do with it and have paperwork to prove it - cause I didn't object...

Batman is my second Basenji - Roxie was the first - same color and markings but female. She was a great dog, and Batman had some big shoes to fill - But he is doing a fine job of it.

This is Shea, he is a shih tzu/Yorkie mix. He turns 3 on Friday! He likes to play, explore, sleep, and most of all, be a stubborn little pain in the butt! But I wouldn't have it any other way <3

This is Ripley. He was a rescue and a faithful friend for 13 years. He was the best dog ever. He looks like a puppy in this photo; he had that kind of face, but he was 13.
I had to let him go almost a year ago, because he was really sick. Not a day goes by that I don't miss him.
Not trying to be a downer, I'm just really glad for the opportunity to celebrate a really good dog. He was my first dog, and I really miss this little guy, still.
There's something about dogs...they're just so special.

    Ah, yes, the Basenji.

My brother had a Basenji named Pharaoh. Lost her to pancreatic cancer.

The "barkless" wonder who knew very well how to howl and to create all sorts of mayhem and mischief. She was a good dog, though.

    This is Luke The Dog™.

    IMAG0144.jpg

I've had him since he was a wee little puppy. He's seven now, and for the most part, he's been a great first dog. Turns out, I'm a dog person. Who knew?

    CRW_4908.jpg

We went through training to do therapy dog work, but he isn't the most social of creatures. (He's scared of kids.) But he's very well-behaved at home or when I take him places like Home Depot. He even helps me set up for my pen review videos.

    IMAG0170.jpg

He's not the most tolerant when I want to sit down and play with my pens. Too boring. He'd much rather be outside. Or even moreso, near water.

    IMAG0008_ZOE010.jpg

Or sleep. He really likes to sleep.

    IMG_5095.jpg

(Yeah, getting me posting pictures of my dog can be a little dangerous. I'm pretty much one of "those people"...)

Great photo's of a Great Subject.

He does not look like he thinks there is anything wrong with him, Hi Iam Mr Jack Personality!

Don't get me wrong - his story has to be hell, and so he must have gone through some unspeakable horrors - that I hope someone paid for - but he now looks, no you can tell he is happy!

    Sherlock the sock terror!

He was the result of an accidental litter from my co-workers. He is a 'Chipin' which is half Chihuahua, and half Mini-pincer. He was about 2 mos in the photo, he's a bit bigger now...

    6 lbs...

At any rate, he is a lovable little snot, chews everything in sight, but comes when called. It's ironic, we have a 18lb cat and a 6lb dog...

Fantastic photos and some wonderful stories of furbabies. As long as they are remembered, they are still with us and not really gone.
