This is Goose. She is 2 years old, but acts like a puppy. She gets very scared easily because tall people tend to step on her. She is fairly lazy, like me. She has a favorite stuffed animal that I have to resew every few weeks because she takes it everywhere we go.

This is Luna, the cocker spaniel. My husband and I just adopted her from a rescue org a couple of weeks ago. The vet suggests that she is approx. 2 yrs old. I had been searching Petfinder.com for about a year when her profile popped up and it seemed that "all the stars aligned"; right timing, right dog. We have been so happy with her, and she is such a sweetie. I can't say enough about second-hand dogs. Here is a photo of her at a recent trip to Petco, showing off her Jedi spirit.

Mistress Ellie has assented to sit for a photo: She is 12 and had come all the way from Galway in Ireland to live with me--an Irish Puddin' Jack. Her head was once as red as an Irish Setter, but I've petted all the color from her lovely and elegant face. She is a 10-pound, soul-less killing machine if you happen to be a varmint, however....

Fill us in. How do you get a dog from Ireland? How is she getting along with the crew?

I got her as a tiny puppy in 2002. She arrived by Delta airlines--"Lace Curtain Irish" we'd call her!

Awwwww.....what a brave puppy to come all that way. Sorry...I misunderstood thinking she had just joined the group. I'm realizing which part of the doggie family she is.

Not my dog per se, but I treat and spoil him like he was. I send packages to my parents house with his name on them all the time.
