    Default Veazie, Maine USA

That's only significant because, according to the member map, it's the only town in Maine that is listed. Luckily I happen to be the one that lives there. Am a fountain pen tyro tinkerer. Am currently trying to unravel the simple complexities of the Sheaffer Triumphs in all its forms. Anybody know how to get in touch with fountainbel?

He usually answers his e-mail. He is pretty busy so it might take a while though.

    Heya LJ,

Welcome to the Fountain Pen Geeks forums! Smaller than the largest pen fora, larger than some, you'll find a comfortable community of pen-centric people here, with a growing body of posts, reviews, and group knowledge. Mostly, you'll find people who are enthusiastic about fountain pens, and fountain pen people.

    Welcome!

I am surprised to say that I've been to Veazie. My brother used to live in Orono.

It was very kind of all of you whom have bid me welcome. thank you!

And Waski, you must have a great memory to recall this tiny berg. Was your brother a student at the university, or, perhaps, faculty?

My brother was a little bit of each. He started out as student, but was faculty for a bit.

I've always liked small towns (I live in one that's smaller than Veazie). I couldn't tell you the cities I drove through on the way to Orono, but I remember Veazie.

Hi, Waski; You didn't happen to get a traffic ticket, did you? we have a 12 person police force to control 2000 people. they have nothing to do but harass motorists. Even Stephen King acknowledged them in one of his books after he got a ticket here. Or maybe you did a bit of Salmon fishing while it was still allowed. People came from all over the world for that sport.

That's a lot of police! I don't think we have that many in my entire county, even putting the police in my city, the Sheriff and his deputies, and the highway patrol.

To be honest, I've gotten used to North Dakota driving. When I'm somewhere like Veazie, I'm extremely nervous and drive slowly. Even better, I usually let my brother do the driving. I live 90 miles away from the nearest red light. There are so many in the Veazie/Orono area that I got really nervous, especially with the way Maine drivers seem to like coming close at stops, especially on hills.
