    Default Sheaffer TD Statesman?

Some more photos. I am still organizing my Flickr account a bit better and so the photo's are getting easier to post.

Someone please correct me if I am wrong, I think this is Touch Down Statesman. The previous owner was not sure and I had to go through and identify it myself. It does have an amber ink window in the section that does not come up very clearly in photos.

Another handsome pen, Ivan, and a white dot too, no less!

    Nice writer?

Thank you John the Monkey. It is a very nice, fine writer. I need to get it back into rotation and get some writing samples posted. I just cleaned out my TWSBI 530 last night, so it should be safe to put it into rotation.

As JtM said a handsome pen. Has what I think of as the typical business FP look and should be filled with black or a conservative blue.

Is the nib two-tone or is that the ink's hightide mark on it ?

I really need to redo the pictures. It is a two tone 14k gold nib.

I use Flickr. On Flickr I just copy the BBCode link that is in the share menu. You then use the image tags. Just put [img] your URL you copied from whatever sharing service here. [/img]

I have a pen exactly like yours and it is a great writer.

It's a definitely a Statesman. I always read up on Sheaffers I come across on the PenHero site, great resourse. The second picture in this Touchdown profile should look familiar. http://penhero.com/PenGallery/Sheaff...hdownEarly.htm

Thanks for that info Truppi. Very informative and nice to get some history on the pen.
