    Write up says Steel nib, so this one is likely coated. Looks like Gold but for safety we'll call it gold-colored metal.

    my micrometer is in the shop but I'll see what I can do. do you want the diameter at the front or the rear, it changes.

    I try to measure the grip where my fingers would be placed, which is near the junction with the nib. Hence your "front". And thank you for taking the time and effort. I think it is going to be too thick but we'll see!
