    We have a winner. The first slip out of 117 (#47 & #60 died in undeliverable letters) is #97.

    This slip was sent out on February the 18th in responds to a surprise first contact letter. It's return was so fast, it arrived and was sent out in the same afternoon. Way to go Lady Onogaro.

    (edit--3/10/2014)
    Slip #97 traveled for 13 Days, 3104.107 miles, through 4 people. That’s 238.78 miles/day or 10 mph.
    {not going to count return travel to me. Travels outside of February will be extra credit}

    I have one now, do you want me to send it straight back to you? Or does it need to go in another letter?

    Toffer: You can hold on to it for a bit, in case you receive more, then either send it my way or a photo of the full back and its number from the front. (should have added the number to the back).

    alc3261: I got them (see above), just hadn't processed them.

    It only gets to count one trip across the ocean, as it landed in the UK on the 28th and didn't turn around till the 4th. Type40 -> Toulouse 1964.745, Toulouse -> Mags = 248.492, Mags -> alc3261 = 3415.241 == 5628.478

    I appreciate the check.

    Wow, that's impressive! I just happened to be going out to mail another letter or two the day I received it, so I thought I might as well sit down and write to you and send it back while I was at it. Good thing I saw your note about sending it back straight away after the end of InCoWriMo. I thought at first I'd just slip it into one of the letters I was mailing out (to Scotland, I think). It could have taken a trip across the ocean, too!

    I'm thinking 17Nov2014 should probably be 17Feb2014 as I do not know what I was thinking then!
