Default Handwritten Ink Review: Rohrer and Klingner Salix

I’m adding a feature to our ink reviews starting today. We’ll have the same reviews we’ve been doing so that you’ll be able to compare to some extent with our past reviews but we’ll also add a handwritten portion on quite cheap paper. I’m in the process of finding the perfect ‘cheap’ paper, hopefully under $1 a notebook, that is as international as possible but for this review I am using a traditional composition notebook.

    Ink: Rohrer and Klingner Salix
    Pen: Noodler’s Ahab
    Paper: Rhodia No 16 Lined

What you really need to do now is to scan the pic each day for the next few days to show the colour change. It should go a lot darker in time.

I'll try to remember to add a update either tomorrow or next week.

It is certainly a lot slower to change than ESSRI for example but I quite like that. The blue colour is a nice subtle one. I believe that the paper used is another factor in the rate of oxidation and darkening. Coated papers being quicker than non-coated.
