What colour Safari did you get ?
If you didn't flush first I hope you were using a dark ink cause Lamy often test their nibs with blue ink.

just needed to grab A pen. Pen collector had nothing at hand, except a new-in-box, basic blue/chrome..
popped the cart in, and Ahhh! I like the italic.
