Which Waterman??
Firstly, I will start off by saying I don't own many Waterman pens. In fact just one Carene. I do really like the look of some of them though, and have been trawling through ebay looking at them for a while now.
I want to buy one that either has a gold nib, or can accept an upgrade to a gold nib. I just prefer gold nibs for my writing style.
I like the look of the Phileas and the Charleston, as they seem to be slightly thicker pens, and I believe that the Charleston comes with an 18ct gold nib as standard, whereas the Phileas only comes with a steel/GP nib.
Basically what I need to know is what gold nibs or nib units can be used to upgrade which pens?
Thanks for reading this.

Re: Which Waterman??
Steel nib compatibility. Read to the end, though.
The L'etalon nib is 18K and fits nicely in a Phileas or Kultur. I have a green Phileas with an 18K EF nib from a L'etalon. I use this pen a lot and really like it. Force on the Dark Side has found corrosion on some steel Phileas nibs. I have a Laureat with a gold plated nib, and most of the gold plate is worn off and the nib is corroded.
