Default Vintage Small Fountain Pen ID request

    [IMG][/IMG]

Hi all, new to the forum.

I come across this a while ago, I'm led to believe it is Victorian, and as you can see it is very small, roughly the size of a small bank/bookies pen.

I'm just wondering if anyone can shed some more light on it, it's an interesting little thing, any idea on the make or any potential value?

    Thanks!!!

This is definitely from the late 1800s. I have a similar one here. Gold-filled retractable dip pens were pretty popular at one point back then.

Is there any markings on the nib or on the barrel?

I have seen similar a book of the history of Mabie Todd. The book has examples similar to this from the previous companies and competing companies. If I have time I'll dig it out.. Def Victorian anyway
