I like my Lamy 2000 pencil.

Kuru Toga Roulette , 0.5 mm lead with the Gunmetal body (basically all blank).

With the auto lead rotation I always have a sharp point to write with and the knurling makes for a secure grip. The one downside is the non-retractable lead sleeve.

For right now, it's Palomino Blackwing 602s (the updated version). Biggest problem with them, though, is that I have to sharpen frequently because the lead is so soft. But other than that, they're my favourite.

I'm afraid it is a rather modest Staedtler Tradition 2B (sharpened to taste with a suitable knife)

Close 4-way tie: 1) Parker lucky-lock pencils, 2) Eversharp Skyline pencils, 3) Sheaffer Balance pencils with radius clips (for robustness and looks because the eraser isn't so convenient) and 4) Caran D'Ache Fixpencils

The Lucky Lock Parker is also my favorite pencil, followed closely by the flat top Parker Duofold of the same era. I'm always looking for a different Lucky Lock to add to the stash.

Yeah, it's crazy that the eraser mechanisms still work so well. Are the Duofold pencils different?

The Duofold uses a push on crown, whereas the Lucky Lock, as you know, is push and twist. The mechanisms are similar but at least slightly different.

My simple Pentel 0.5mm or my Eagle Turquoise lead holders, depending on how I feel.
They do different jobs, so it isn't really like one can replace the other very easily.

Currently, my favorite is a .4mm GraphGear 1000 by Pentel. 2B lead. This is thin line and low pressure to make a dark line.

I use it little now, because it encourages immediate revision, which is not helpful.

Had to use it for 2.5 days of extensive notes recently when I ran out of ink, and it was very nice.

One feature I love is that the tip retracts automagically when you put it in your pocket.

    I do like Kerry's also.

Clearly they had a higher and more comprehensive conception of the duties of society toward it's members than had the lawgivers of Europe of the time, and they imposed obligations upon it that were shirked elsewhere... But it is the provisions for public education which, from the very first, throw into the clearest relief the originality of American civilization.

The last pencil I bought, I acquired because it was rather strange; I am very fond of it both as a concept and for its art deco looks; it's a Wyvern Smoking Pencil (i.e. for pipe smokers). I think it's a great idea - and although I no longer smoke a pipe (just cigarettes now) I fully approve of course.

Glad you like it - it certainly caught my eye - I had never heard of such a thing.

    A new arrival, this time a souvenir from 1953 - and über-kitsch - I love it!
