    Post Kinokuniya Edition Moleskine

    The Kinokuniya shop in Sydney had their own edition Moleskines.
    they are basically a black hardcover pocket notebook with Books Kinokuniya and the log impressed across the bottom front cover with a dark blue paper band of the K logo around it. The paper band has the shop's address inside.

    I like the idea of the dark blue band around the cover so it seems a bit of a lost opportunity by Moleskine to have made it some how more permanent. Maybe clear plastic contact over it would protect it.

    The Kinokuniya impression on the front cover didn't come out too well in this photocopier image. You have jiggle the book around at an angle to see it properly.

    The blue is nice - I think a better way to incorporate it might have been to make the elastic the same colour.

    I've seen it done on the Moleskines (or Mole-alikes) given to a lucky few at the Team Sky (pro cycling team) launch;

    They use a light blue elastic to echo the blue line in the team's branding.

    JtM, yes a dark blue elastic would have looked nice and differentiated it from the regular black moleskines.

    So it is just a paper band like the Star Wars Moleskine's?

    Plus the Kinokuniya name and logo impressed across the bottom front cover. Very discrete.
