Yup. I said it. The Platinum Preppy gets to be in the spotlight too. Blue-Black is actually a nice ink color for this one. The nib is a bit scratchy but I like it in a socially awkward kind of way.

I took the free eye dropper preppy that came with a bottle of Noodler's Nikita and put the marker tip in it. Very nice! Now I have a Nikita Red marker! Mwua ha ha ha!!!

egads... I left it at work. I won't be able to get to it for quite some time. But then again, I only needed it at work so I wouldn't have thought to bring it home. Good thing it isn't loaded with BSB.

yup... they have many different colors of painted nibs to match the cap and body colors. However, with certain inks the paint will come off after a while. One day you will go to wipe the nib and all the paint will be gone. (BSB did that to one of mine)

Yes, it is pretty darn close in color as the photo. If anything, just a touch darker, at least on my monitor. It's not bad for a sub $4 pen.

I loves my Preppys. Every color, every nib. (And yes, the nibs all match the ink/clip color). I don't do eyedroppers with them, and the BB is a nice color, currently re-filled with, I thinnkkk, JH Myosotis Blu.

The best lighting I have is at my desk at work so elaborate backdrops are a bit out of the question. The current black back drop is my RatPadz optical mousing surface.
