    Default Kaigelu 365

The Parker IM wannabe. The converter was broken on this one but the seller is replacing it free. I had to open up the tines a little as they were completely closed and did not allow any ink to flow. One good press with the thumbs and I had a decently wet writer. I am going to stub the nib on this one. I like to zoom in close on the Kaigelu's as they pay close attention to detail.

    Great photos, Ivan!
It sure does look like a Parker IM wannabe.....I own an IM and it's a nice pen but why they didn't make the gold-coloured trim version with a gold-plated nib is beyond me....and the nib on the IM is too small for the pen (IMHO). Kaigelu seemed to get those two design features right so kudos to them!

Thanks Maja. Mind posting photos of your IM?

I just noticed I forgot to wipe down the pen on that last photo. My fingerprints are all over it.

Only if they turn out OK---the last batch of photos I took (for Pentrace's PSF two days ago were dreadful--so please don't hold your breath
Basically, it looks like the black pen with gold trim at the top of this picture: http://www.cultpens.com/acatalog/Par...en.html#a13989

    Great macro photos as usual.
Should send some of Mrs Bogn's dusting powder over so you can hotgraph your fingerprints properly

Nice classic little black fountain pen look. The stylised kangaroo logo is pretty neat.
Is the grip section a rubbery material ?
sinistral hypergraphica - a slurry of ink

Okay, yes, it does look a little odd with the gold furniture and silver colored nib. I agree that Kaigelu got it right with their interpretation.

    on the dusting powder.

The grip section is a matte plastic or acrylic to use the fancy name. No not precious resin.
