Used the wrong word. Its not ingrained its inbred. If you want to talk pencils then go for it. If you want to keep shoveling then expect the pushback. Seems like you enjoy it because you keep on shoveling!!!

The new-to-me Autopoint arrived yesterday. I installed new .9mm lead and added a NOS Autopoint eraser. As someone said, the rarest Autopoint pencil in the one that does not work.

$3.25 is some deal!! There's quite a few vintage autopoints on ebay tho they often dont state specific models. Perhaps there were no models per say, just lots of different pencils? Prices are all over the place too!!

Incidentally just discovered the "Ignore" button so the intellectually challenged fellow can dribble into his bib as much as he likes and I dont have to see it. Maybe the others on the list have done same to me. Either way its a win win really.

I edited this to say all names from list now added. They can play amongst themselves.

There used to be a resource that listed Autopoint catalogs for which could be used to define the models. Most of the internal parts are interchangeable. Leads used are .9 or 1.1mm.

If I ever can find another resource, I’ll post.

Seriously David, do you really think this latest, "classic" EoC vicious attack has anybody either fooled or intimidated?
Feel free to continue to lash out all you want and expect, in kind, for it to get called out for what it is. The musings of a miserable soul.

At the risk of repeating myself (a waste of time, I know) why not get the Lead out and stick to the Point? This is a thread about Pencils.

Vintage mechanical pencils used 0.046” and 0.036” graphite “leads”. The Metric imitations are just close.

True that. Modern pencils are all metric tho. Prefer 0.5mm and 0.7mm mostly. Fatter points make my writing messy. The topic is about collecting and I dont really have a collection rather than a handful of modern models. Its more a practical consideration for me tho I do like them and may end up accumulating more.

They were at the Boston pen show. While their lead is nice, I wasn't enthralled by their pencils for the price.

Hmm, its always good to have review of course. Was there something particular that led to that lack of enthrallment? From a purely esthetic standpoint I like the idea of black rubber with engine turning on it or something that looks like that, which is why this brand attracts me. What alternatives exist without going to old pencils?
