I don't know that I collect them, but I do use them daily (as well as wood case pencils, fountain pens, and other kinds of pens).

My current favorite is a Pilot Lignam pencil. I like the way it feels, and the ease of writing with 2B graphite. I also love the Pilot S20. I use KuroToga pencils in my portable writing kit, or did when I like actually left the home.

I try and get a pencil to match brands when I can i.e. I have an Omas pencil for my omas FP's, one for my montegrappas, Namikis, Stipulas, etc.

This is addition to just a ton of MP's and pencil holders.

lately. I was able to catch this Faber Castell alpha-matic:

these were something of the best one could buy in the 1990's. I remember, the price was high, but far from prices today...

Happy New Year to all !
This is a beautiful collection. I am using pencils and dip pens.

I am also interested in the collection. As some of my antique pencils family seems to be growing. If any pencil is useable and have the possibility use a replaceable leds I am using them.
I have also a fare amount of current pencils.

I found 4 in the drawer on my desk so put them together for a quick picture. My favourites are the Tombow and the Lamy because i prefer that barrel thickness when I'm writing.

The Tombow has a great "click" mechanism that works with or without the cap being posted. I have 2 of them. The one pictured is my spare that's never been used.
