I have collected pencils when I was studying at university. I keep this collection at my parents' house.

not as much as FP's, but yes every now and then will pick one up. I see their value has started increasing as well (popular manufacturers), however many of the 2nd-3rd tier mechanical pencil manufacturers can still be picked up cheap.

I don't collect them but I do buy Mabie Todd Fyne Poynt pencils. They go as presents to good customers.

Wow. How wonderful. Good for you.

Just before last Christmas I received a little present from Diamine as a thank you for my ink reviews. Sadly we were in Naples Florida celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary when it was delivered, so some kind soul nicked it from off of my doorstep. I'm convinced it was the delivery company who knew it was there.

That's very sad, and quite angry-making, Chrissy. No names, no pack drill, but was the company H*r*e*, perhaps?

The delivery company did indeed fit that format yes. They supplied a photo showing the box inside the porch area. They failed to say whether they passed by later and it was still there though. From it's box it was very obviously a hamper with food and wine in there. My OH is still much more angry than I am. Hey ho. What you never had you never miss.....

They are a really rotten delivery company. They managed to lose a pen that Deb bought a couple of weeks ago. We were compensated but you can never be really compensated for the loss of a good pen. Your loss is evidently a much greater one. I do wish people would stop using them.
