Parker 180 Lapis Lazula Laque

The Parker 180 Fountain Pen was first sold in 1977 although this one probably dates to somewhere around 1980 to 1982. The nib is 14k gold and instantly identifies this pen as a 180 with the long blade like nib set into the long thin textured grip section. The color on this one is the "Lapis Lazula" Laque finish with a blue base and black and white flecks in it. The name Parker 180 derives from the fact that it actually has 2 nib sizes in one, simply turn the pen 180 degrees to write using the other nib size ... this one is Extra Fine when writing normally, turn it over so the black feed is on top and it becomes a medium nib.

This particular pen is NOS unused never inked so is in mint condition and will be kept that way. I have a used one which writes with a slight spring and a nice wet flow but is very narrow in the hand!
