    Default My 1934 Sheaffer Balance

Jon had asked me to post pics of this beauty when I first joined this forum and I just didn't get around to it. Some of you who are also on FPN may have seen it and the fabulous and explosive argument that ensued over the pen's origins, and thus have already seen these pics, but for those who have not, I would like to share.

Before a good cleaning and restoration...

    And after:

This pen originally belonged to my grandfather, and eventually came down to me. It still writes beautifully, fits my hand perfectly, and is pretty much Baby Bear's porridge, as far as pens and I are concerned. However, because it is absolutely and utterly irreplaceable, it will never be an EDC. It does get pretty regular use on my desk though, with school and note-taking and all that jazz. Soooo, nothing major, just wanted to share.

Nice one Shimmershadow! I just picked up one in the same color. (uncommon Grey Pearl) What size is yours?
I'm glad to see you have a nice nib as well.

KBeezie--yup, vac filler! Holds SO MUCH INK...love it.

gweddig--it's about 5" long, not too big, not too small. Nice to see someone else with the grey pearl out there, all I ever see are the rainbow-y pearl versions! (Scientific and descriptive, I know.)

Say, it does look even better without all the sulfurous comments swirling about it!
Given to daily lunatic raving, but also capable of more prolonged pen-centricity.
