Default The Lamy, The Snitch, and the Wardrobe

So my 8 yr old ratted me out. "Dad, I can't do my reading because Mom's PEN STUFF is all over the place!" My husband began to notice that I have "Quite a Few pens now, sweetheart..."

Time to go underground! I gathered up all my PEN STUFF and made a Pen Sanctuary out of a wardrobe that I'd only been using for my bongos and amplifiers. Now I have quite a nicely organized spot for all things Pen [including a mini-chandelier].

    Looks innocent enough:

    But look inside:

That is one groovy 8" chandelier.
Online arguments are a lot like the Rocky Horror Picture Show.
As soon as the audience begins to participate, any actual content is lost in the resulting chaos and cacophony.
At that point, all you can do is laugh and enjoy the descent into debasement.

That is SO COOL! Does one of the shelves pull out (like desk printer shelves) to allow you to sit and write?

An exhausting 8-hr roundtrip day to Los Angeles, and I come home to this: a wonderful title for a post, inclusion of the phrase "...been using for my bongos and amplifiers", and then the photos!

This is so cool, Vert, you just totally made my day - Have FUN!

I'm hoping your bongos didn't get shoved under the bed or banished to the garage.

    sanctuarium calligarpharis

Looks fabulous but it needs some clowns or an upside-down Montblanc.

Echoing Sinister Scribbler, are you going to add a pullout writing shelf of some kind ?

What can I say? I want one. Hubby and I went out this weekend and bought two small cabinets to sit atop the drop down desk I moved from the kitchen to my little nook kingdom. But I feel embarassed at my meager little cabinets compared to the Pen Oz that you have created.

(Isn't Jon's bongo playing tarantula cool?)

So. This is really working out well as a Pen Hide! As to the comments--there is no pull out writing surface, this was used for a clothes closet and an entertainment center in its other lives. The desk is a glass console table next to the baby grand a few feet away.

The bongos are safe! You can still see them in the middle photo--they are a required part of my "Stress Relief Therapy Program" [controlled pounding is quite satisfying after a dicey day at work].

    You need more ink...
"What are moon-letters?" asked the hobbit full of excitement. He loved maps, as I have told you before; and he also loved runes and letters, and cunning handwriting, though when he wrote himself it was a bit thin and spidery.

    I need that outfit.

What you have there is the Inkwart's Room of Requirement.
My other pen is a Montblanc.

Nice space. Wish I had room for something like that. I noticed your ink towel. Anyone done a subject for people to show their ink towels?

Love that! It's that exact reason I get all new purchases shipped to my work address and then straight into a cabinet in the basement workshop.
