Thanks for all the great photos.
Fantastic photos !!!
Thank you so much for sharing them... and keep em' coming if you can.
I'm glad everyone enjoyed the pics. It was hard to figure out what to take pics of.
The best experience I had was meeting up with fellow geeks. 5 hours of talking and sharing pens. We never ran out of pens to talk about.
Tracy had her beautiful visconti pens with her. Thank you Tracy for allowing me to fondle your pens. Of course this is bad news for my wallet.
Dan is the man . He's walking encyclopedia on fountain pens. His pen collection was very diverse - cheap to expensive. Wonderful to experience all the different nibs in his collection.
Thanks to all the others - talking and sharing with you has truly been the "cherry on top".
Great photos and writeup! Thanks Samantha!
Really enjoyed all the photos. Looks overwhelming but oh so enjoyable.
There is no substitute for attending one of these shows. The breadth of pens and accompanying paraphernalia is simply hard for most to imagine.
Such a treat...
Wow. What a fantastic set of photos. I'm UK based so US shows are a dream that's not going to happen for me any time soon. Perhaps as well for the health of my bank account :-)
What a great time! I truly enjoyed getting to meet so many people, it was amazing to see so many enthusiastic crowds on Saturday, and Dan and Tim, thanks again for putting together the gathering on Saturday night. Next Year!
I put a recap of my show up on the blog (http://www.gentlemanstationer.com/bl...how-2014-recap).

Whew! Great photo documentary!
It was like watching someone else do something terribly exciting and dangerous ( financially) from the safety of my hammock!
Super pics- now we want to see what's coming home in your suitcase!

One of my pic ups. Really enjoyed the show. It was my first as well.
I just got home. Had a fantastic day. The best part, as others have said, is meeting fellow geeks. Though only six made it this morning and I'm sorry I didn't get to see others who had to leave, it was the highlight (not counting the Pelikan M800 I bought after selling a handful of no longer loved vintage stuff.) Great meeting Dan and his family and everyone else. Hope everyone gets home safely. Looking forward to seeing folks in Philly in January.

Great Pics! Another great DC show!
Thanks!!

Really fun day for me.
A friend went with me and really didn't understand my obsession with pens.
Now that's all he talks about.

Great pictures, but the LAMY and Pelikan pictures are the ones that really made me wish I went to the show.

My haul. I'll take better pictures once I have some daylight and am not on a moving train.
The waterman ripple on the left is Manny's who was kind enough to offer to lend it to me for a while. He also gave me a copy of his calligraphic transcription of the Parables. Manny is awesome. All the geeks are awesome. I'm building tolerance, worryingly. So much more madness to indulge!
"What are moon-letters?" asked the hobbit full of excitement. He loved maps, as I have told you before; and he also loved runes and letters, and cunning handwriting, though when he wrote himself it was a bit thin and spidery.
