Default Anyone Corresponding in Sketchnotes Style?

I've run across the "Sketchnotes" technique in journaling/datebook forums. I don't do any kind of regular journaling, and I don't take that many notes at work, but I think that it would be fun to write letters in Sketchnotes Style.

Has anyone tried this? And if so, would you be willing to post any pictures?

What is it? Where can I find examples? Is it anything related to doodling?
My other pen is a Montblanc.

And my other blog is a tumblr!

Mike Rohde has a few books about it. Says that by mixing doodling and text note taking, you actually pay more attention and retain more information about a presentation.

I'm curious about whether this technique might make for interesting letters.

Thanks for the links! I love the time-lapse video. And I would be soooo up for that!

    Moleskine? That what he's using?

Does it count that when I take notes (short snippets or take away quotes form the speaker) I doodle flowers and vines around those notes? :P
