I know the crystal is around 60 dollars more than the typhoon. What are some opinions on this? I'm debating on offering a store a trade.

I like the crystal.
WTB Sheaffer Balance oversized with a flex nib, semi flex, broad, or medium in carmine red or grey striated.
Wtb Sheaffer Pfm in black or blue with a medium or broad nib.

I can not help directly. I have a Opera Master LE and I would say its heavy, beautiful and writes effortlessly. I would say if you find one snatch it up.

I have a Typhoon and agree with Dan - the material looks very "flat".
I'd go for the Crystal if I was buying again.
