Oooo, I saw that for sale. So what does "special" mean? I assume it's a certain nib type, but what?

Maybe it's a ball tipped nib?

The special nib was designed to mimic a ballpoint. It was short lived and discontinued as a nib option.

    How does it perform.
They should have done a stylographic nib like Visconti did - which runs like a super smooth rollerball.

I cleaned and re-inked the Montblanc 145. It's very stiff and boring. I'm sending it out for a regrind.

00Photo - that Montblanc nib writes very nicely in your hands and it looked so pretty in your close-ups too.
There is an awful lot of tipping material for a regrind.

What sort of nib are you intending to have it ground to ?

I was thinking it could have been MB Alfred Hitchcock.

An architect grind......is that even legal in MI ?

Wow the Bell desk pen set looks good. I like the way you matched it to tiles as well.

Today's work pen a Visconti Rebecca Moss N.Y. FlatTop (double reservoir?) power filler (14K nib, no size indicated - a wide medium nib) with Noodler's Tiananmen.
The colour is a close match to ripe Persimmon or fuyu fruit available in our local grocery shop.
