Visconti Homo Sapiens is back from having a nib adjustment. Ahhhh safe & sound.

I sent it to Tim Girdler in W Va & it was just an adjustment as I had sprung the nib… so mad about that. Theres a little wave in the right tine now GRRRrrrrrrr…

Seems to write well you don't need to spend $130+ to replace the nib

Yep, they are 38mm or 1.5" long - it is a small pen (123mm capped or 110mm uncapped). Might try a Kaweco converter or a Monteverde mini.

Today I used Pilot Metropolitan (F), TWSBI VAC 700 (XF), and Pilot Vanishing Point (F). Diamine Jet Black in all. My VP disappointing though as there is too much ink flow currently.

I returned a couple of days ago from a trip; my only fountain pens were a Pilot Custom Heritage 91 and a Platinum 3776 Century, both with their respective black cartridges.

Those pens still got used a bit today, but I have now filled two more, my Montblanc Noblesse, reground medium nib, with Sailor Jentle Shigure and my fine-nibbed Vanishing Point with Pilot Blue-Black. The cartridge pens should be emptied pretty soon. What next?

Extra fine? Why not needle point? Some quality time with some micromesh yielded this:

Actually it's not a stub, it's a calligraphy nib. I believe Kaweco makes 4 different calligraphy nibs in varying widths. I bought this one from Jetpens. Cheers.

Cool Re: pens I used today...

TWSBI 540 with LOTS of cracks in the section lol ~ Loaded it up with some Noodler's Massachusetts 54

The more it dries the more sheen it gets... very under rating ink IMO.

I just finished a sample of 54th. I tried it in two pens, with different sized nibs and I wasn't really a fan. Was a washed out, dull blue/black. This looks beautiful though.

I'm on my second bottle of 54th Mass, it might be my favorite ink. It's funny how tastes differ.

Montblanc Noblesse, reground medium nib, Sailor Jentle Shigure ink. I know some people find a fountain pen this slim to be uncomfortable, but I can write with it for hours. It is about as slim as fountain pens get, though, isn't it? Compare with the pen below it, my always there Fisher Space Pen. Well, sometimes I carry a different one of the same model, but I like the fine blue refill in this one. I don't write with it very much, but if I want a ballpoint for some reason, it's there.
