Sounds like a mighty good day!

In addition to the Pilot Custom Heritage 92 that has been in my everyday carry for over a fortnight, today I have inked up:
    - S T Dupont Classique (black lacquer), F nib, with J Herbin Terre de Feu; and
    - Lamy Al-Star stealth (all black), EF nib, with Pelikan Brillian Black.

I've done a little journal writing already this morning with the Visconti Opera Master and Montegrappa NeroUno.

Esterbrook Transitional, 9460 nib, Noodler's Heart of Darkness. Perhaps the smoothest nib I own.

Hunt 101 Imperial in an oblique holder with Noodler's Golden Brown and ESSRI today for fancy envelope addressing ... any more of that and I'll go cross eyed. It's back to the Blackbird and Diamine Grey for cards and letters.

Today was the Christmas cards I haven't already sent. Weapon of choice was a TWSBI 540, juiced up with Diamine Syrah.

Today's work pen is a Visconti Unita D'Italia with 14K F loaded with Noodler's Zhivago.

    UnitiDItalia.jpg
Another pen Mrs Bogon picked up in Italy this is from the "Mrs" Visconti shop in Florence. Oddly this pen has a gold not palladium nib ?

It is similar to the black mulitfaceted Michelangelo pens but with red, white & green enamel bands on the chrome sections. Same fun loving magnetic cap too.
The minor probelm with this is I found myself obsessively wiping the ink off the bands on the chrome section after filling the pen.

Mrs Bogon also picked up some MyPen magnetic gems for the ends of some Visconti pen caps. In this case we've decided to put a pale yellow one in place of the normal end cap.
I sort of expected a red, white and green one to come with this pen like an Italian version of the Netherlands one Dr Brown had on his Rembrandt calligraphy set.

I like the shape a lot, and the detail on the band of the cap. It's great you have the gems for the top, I need to find some of those for a few of my pens, too.

Spent the day with two custom Gems from Brian Gray/Edison Pen Co, both med nibs, tuned to be a bit on the wet side, one with Legal Lapis and the other with Violet Vote ink from Pendemonium. Spent the evening with a white tiger stripe Pilot Metropolitan inked with Baystate Blue to write a few holiday cards (yes, I do like to live on the edge now and again ).

Inked my Pilot VP yellow, Broad CI nib by J Mottishaw, with Montblanc Midnight, to write a thank you card. It's my favourite CI nib.

    Inked ready for tomorrow:
    - Waterman Carene, Fine nib, with J Herbin Eclat de Saphir; and
    - Parker Sonnet, Pendleton Broad butterline stub, with Parker black cartridge.

    Here's my current batch:

    1) Serwex complete with Noodlers flex nib, Noodlers X-feather ink
    2) Twsbi 580 with Jinhao F/M nib, Lamy Turquoise
    3) Parker Vacumatic, golden pearl, Akkerman South Forest Green
    4) Platinum #3776 Balance, Pilot Iroshizuko Yama-Budo

The Serwex has come alive with the Noodlers nib which was a real bu**er in an Ahab, as long as I don't go too fast!
The TWSBI needed a new nib as the regular TWSBI M nib kept running out of ink after half a page
The Parker is a favourite that makes an apperance regularly
The Platinum has been writing Xmas cards for the last week, love the bright saturated ink, look at that nib creep!

    +1. That is exceptionally pretty.
I just have to ask -- how many pens did Mrs Bogon score in Italy?

Enough that she doesn't get to question any of Bogon's pen purchases for quite a while, I should think!
"What are moon-letters?" asked the hobbit full of excitement. He loved maps, as I have told you before; and he also loved runes and letters, and cunning handwriting, though when he wrote himself it was a bit thin and spidery.

Two deltas! one Visconti! an unknown pocket pen! three renzetti , one that starts with an M and looks like a coffee percolator and a dip pen & a Monteverde. I asked her to look that the delta above and buy me the Visconti .
