Rorting 600 (old style) today, complete with LH nib and a Caran D'Ache black cartridge. Love this pen.

    But Lamy FP's are favourites

Will, that's a Pilot Plumix. I'm using the cartridge it came with- when it starts to get low I syringe another color of ink in there. Now it's a blend of the original blue, some reddish ink (I think it's de atramentis rose) and some good old black Quink. It's a pretty neat purple-black right now.

I considered doing an ED with this one however the threads are not particularly tight. A bit risky and out of the question for a klutz like me.

It was about $7 at Staples. It's got a really smooth italic nib in the 1mm range. I've grown to like it a lot.

In a strange turn of events I inked up the Ahab with Diamine Meadow. I wrote a questionnaire with it but didn't ask the questions. I also had up to three Safaris in my pockets during the meeting. I think I used one with a 1.1 italic and Organics Carbon Black in it.

Should we be congratulating you on a new Vanishing Point or did you burrow Mrs Coyote's one ?

Today's work pen: Yellow Safari (F) loaded with Noodler's Gurene Cactus Eel.

New pen for me. Something to start the new school year with.

I like the color combo! Yellow and Green - Green Bay Packers! Oh and pre-season starts tonight even! Thanks for the reminder!!!

more use for my vintage 400! I can't tell you all how much i LOVE this pen! Even though my white tortoise was my dream pen, this pen has a special aura about it, and with a semi flex nib, it is divine!

    Lamy 2000 / Noodler's Black
Bexley BX802 / De Atramentis Steel Blue

Both pens have only been in my hands a few days, and I can't get enough of them!

Well congratulations on the matt black Vanishing Point. They've gotten a lot of attention recently. Black ink in it I suppose ?

Geez Yellow and green .....almost the Australian team colours for Ruby Union and all those other sports.

DDustinn, one day I'll get a Lamy 2000 too.

Charcoal Safari (F) with Caran d'Arche Blue Night.

At first I was a bit disappointed with this ink considering it is approaching Irushizuku prices compared to Noodler's until I realised that the problem was the "dry" in this pen. My Aluminum Al-Star has the same F black nib but seems to write much better so I took the nib off and applied some pressure to the shoulders of the nib and now it puts out consistantly more ink.

Blue Night is an odd blue-black with a greyish purple tinge to it. I quite like the look of it.

I do feel that Noodler's Nightshade is a better match with the Charcoal Safari colourwise.

Pelikan 215 with Waterman Florida Blue (my daily staple) and an inexpensive wooden hand turned kit pen from the market in New Orleans. Incidentally, purchased the Pelikan in NOLA as well. Great performer.
