Yup, This is the pen I associate with Venus ever since I saw the old ads for them.

You are so kind to say so. I am blushing under the helmet.

Nice line variation when writing with that nib. Lookin' good.

The Venus President has a quaint old world charm and the Waterman ink too.
I quite like the pen's cap.

Did you 'sepiarise' that photo ?
Thanks Bogon. That is the way the photo came out of the camera. That is under my LED desk lamp that throws the white balance off on my camera phone.

One question: I am not familiar with the Venus brand but it looks awfully like an Osmia from the 1950s, when they were being taken over by Faber-Castell. Compare with the Osmia-Faber-Castell 884 or 883, for instance. Are there any connections between those brands?
Thank you FP_GaF.

Let's see if I remember right. I believe Venus Pens were made by the American Pencil Co. My example I think is from the early 60's. Esterbrook bought them out in the late 60's and they later got bought out by Berol. Oh wait, Berol got bought out by Faber-Castell in the 70's so yes, there is a connection.
