    I've been rewatching the WWII mini series "Band of Brothers". There are various fountain pens in this star-studded production, but most appear briefly and are hard to identify. In the first episode ("Currahee") Lieutenant Richard Winters (Damian Lewis) uses what appears to be a copper Esterbrook:

    Besides finding fountain pens you can entertain yourself identifying some of the Hollywood stars in this production, like Michael Fassbender, James McAvoy, Jamie Bamber, Dominic Cooper and even Simon Pegg, among others.

    I maintain that if you watch all of Band of Brothers and don’t have even the tiniest inkling of “damn. That would be cool to do/have that kind of brotherhood”; you have no soul.

    If he was even only HALF the man the series made him out to be;
    I would follow Winters to the gates of hell.

    Greatest most important mini series ever made IMO

    Another recent reference is in the Netflix series "Heart Stopper" where Nick's fountain pen explodes on his shirt creating a mess creating the opening for he and Charlie to strike up a conversation. It's hard to tell which pen Nick is using, but I would suspect an inexpensive Parker or Sheaffer student pen.
