I'm skeptical, is that really true?

An italian judge uses what seems to be an Aurora 88 in the 1953 movie "Roman Holiday".

A Russian gangster uses this MB during a brief scene in the 2014 movie "Taken 3" with Liam Neeson.

A vintage ink bottle appears briefly during the 2012 movie "Red Tails". There is a pen in front of the bottle which is impossible to identify.

The shape of the clip looks Parkerish and it appears to have a hooded nib.

Towards the end of the 2014 film "The theory of everything" Stephen Hawking imagines he gets up from his wheelchair and picks up this pen from the floor.

(Now former) New York Times obituary writer Bruce Weber sports a natty fountain-pen-themed waistcoat in the documentary Obit.

    It may be childish...

Oh what the heck, it is childish. But I've been watching episodes from the 1990s cartoon series Pinky and the Brain. I can't help noticing that almost all of the pens shown are dip pens, or in this case a fountain pen. Although there are also a lot of wood pencils.

I believe i spotted an MB, albeit a biro type, in the German movie "The Baader Meinhof Complex"; don't think i'll be able to get a screenshot but the pen is sported by one of the politician/businessman types during one of their private little 'what are we going to do about these pesky students/terrorists' meetings. Good movie.

Looks like a Waterman Jiffie with an orange clip on Deckard's piano in Blade Runner (yup, rewatching ahead of the sequel).

The second season of The Crown has so many pens it's hard to keep up. Parkers mostly, I think.

Michael Caine is a cynical reporter in the 2002 movie "The Quiet American" and uses a Parker 51 in Saigon, 1952:
