Default Monteverde Invincia Stealth 1.1 mm Review

Hand written review, of course. Pictures too. It is a little messy since I wrote it after doing some extensive flex practice.

Nice review. Looks like a great nib. Another one to put on the (endless ) list.

KI, another top review. The italiciness of the nib comes across well in your writing.
That all black look is just made for a Pen Sith Lord. The black hardware looks so good and I really like the font Monteverde used around that cap band.

You would think all 1.1mm italics should be the same width !
I can understand that one nib maybe could produce a slightly wider or narrower line, especially with different inks.

The list does get longer with time, unfortunately.

Yes Bogon, the pen is very Sith and especially Vader Sith with all it's shiney black stuffs. I think the slightly wider line is the Monteverde ink. It actually spiders a bit on Rhodia. I did not notice it until looking at my review pages a little closer. I noticed it when I saw some ink spread on the page a little.

Cool pen, although the cap band font looks sort of silly to me.

I hope you write a bestselling novel with that pen.

Great nib, Ivan! Is it an italic or a stub? It looks rather crisp to me.

The fact that it's running wider than the Lamy may be due simply to the fact you're using a black ink. These tend to do that in my experience. Or one measures the width of the nib and the other the actual ink line.

    Cheers,
    Peter

I could imagine "The History of the Fountain Pen in the Sith Empire". Or "The Rise of the Geek Sith".

Lovely review - I wish Monteverde were more widely available in the UK!

Does it have threads on the end for posting, or are those lines just decorative?

    Great review.

I owned a Montverde once, it had extreme flow issues, would you say you did experience flow issues?

    Thank you.

The end "threads" are decorative only. You post by slipping the cap over the barrel. I don't like that because it seems like you would eventually wear away the finish. I don't normally post anyway.

No flow issues although initially I had to squeeze the cart to get ink flowing. I don't normally use carts but I figured I would on this one since I had them.

It is flat like an italic with no tipping that I can see. Similar to what the Lamy 1.1 and TWSBI 1.1 look like. The edges are cut smooth and round so it glides on the page. I like to call them Stubtalics.

Now there is an idea! Actually, I am thinking if I start a blog, I might have to lose the whole Darth Vader thing or Lucas's lawyers may come a knocking.

How about italistubs? Or is that too close to Italifine? Does Richard Binder have lawyers?

May very well be. I hear they can knock quite hard.
