So... I'm new to selling on eBay, and this one buyer tweaked my intuition from the beginning with his repeated questions about the pens and whether or not I had more and would I cancel the auctions and sell the pens to him (for a stupid price, duh) - and no - and whether or not I was interested in trading (no, no, no - what is it about no that he didn't seem to understand?).
He won two auctions and strung me out for payment for almost two weeks, finally paying when I opened a case with eBay. (Because I'm a new seller, I can't collect the funds for 21 days anyway, so this put me out for more than a month.)
When he finally paid, I was able to see his name and address. Brandon Cifani in Oxford, MI.
Something whispered in my ear: Google him.
The thread here, one in fpn, and one over at fountainpenboard came up. (The one on fpgeeks was the top return, btw. That thread is closed, otherwise I would comment there.)
I just had a bad feeling about this guy from the beginning, and with the stringing me out on the payment, I felt that he might lie about receiving the pens or give me further hassle. That was before I read the threads.
Anyway, I cancelled the auctions and refunded his payment and figured maybe a warning might be in order.
Dan, if I'm out of line here, I'll understand if you delete this thread.
