    Default Best Snags...what are yours?

    Hi all!

I am very anxiously waiting for my vintage Pelikan 400 to arrive! I can't wait to do a comparison b/w it and my white torty! I managed to snag the pen for $85 CAD shipped! And it has a smooth flex nib, and looked to be in great condition in the pictures. You may ask, where did I get it? Well, my FPN account now actually lets me look at topics, classifieds, so I saw it and snagged it! What are YOUR best snags? Were they from the 'bay, from a nice FPN member, or somewhere else.

    Thanks!
    Will

I got a Rotring Core FP (OK, OK.... ) for 25 cents and an all-metal Wahl ringtop with 14K gold nib for a quarter as well.

    That's all right!
Anybody hating on the Core is a Dweeb. There, I said it. It's a useful pen with its own aesthetic charm.

This is an old photo but the 25cent Wahl All-Metal pen is one of the two pens on the far left, in the chevron pattern. One of the two pens has a Waterman #2 nib, and the other has the proper Wahl #2 nib (...and yes, I am keeping both of them! )

@manoeuver-- The pens just say "Gold filled", no other data on them. They're not solid 14K gold, though!

Wow! Great tray of pens. Though (please have no hurt feelings) they are Wahl's, and are only $130-200 a piece (dont exactly know the value of Wahl ring-tops), its still a great tray of 'gold' pens. I have this picture i guess i have to show. Each one of these Waterman's were bought for less than $150, the Pansy i got for $80, the smooth gold overlay about $50 and the engraved was $110.

I also got this 52 1/2V Cardinal and this BCHR with gold Trim Waterman 52 1/2 for $25 a piece (Both pens are now repaired)

Superb collection! Filled is better than plated.

    Oooh.... beautiful pens, Maja!
I don't have a "best snag" yet, unless you count the $28 (inc shipping) pink Lamy Safari I got on eBay last month. But I'm just getting started. I'm watching eBay waiting for some nice Esterbrook bargains to fall in my lap.
