    Default Diamine Deep Dark Orange

I received this ink as a Pay It Forward from alc3261.

I also received this sample from alc3261. With a fine nib this looks to me like a brown with an orange cast. It reminds me of an old basketball or football. I think it would be better named "Weathered Leather."

@rdcalhoon - I totally agree about the fine nib on this, but it is a great color for fall in this format that burnt orange look. Like fall leaves...

Oh, I do like the color. I just think it needs a different name.

I find this ink shades beautifully from a soft flex EF nib, when used on paper like Maruman or Tomoe. In fact, it matches my best shading Sailor inks when used on the less absorbent Japanese papers. Few inks show their best properties on cheap copy paper.

@migo984 I am going to try this ink in a 1.1 italic nib today and I will post a scan of that as well. Thank you for the advise.

And I will try both the EF and the 1.1 on some Clariefontain writing paper as well.

Well there are benefits to getting busy, I received 100 sheets of Tomoe River Paper yesterday to do a better writing sample of this ink. I have also loaded it into Jinhoa X-750 w/ GouletPens 1.1 Italic nib.

That is a really nice color (and so appropriate for the message). Thank you!

Now I am anxious to try this ink in my Metropolis / 1.1 Italic, but first I intend to enjoy the remaining R&K Morida in the pen.
