Hi from northern Alabama

Hi everyone. I have been lurking and reading older posts for about a week or so and have learned so much. I have always loved the look of fountain pens and dip pens and have finally made the plunge. I have purchased and receiced my first FP (Noodler's Ahab demonstrator) and two samples from GouletPens a few days ago.
I am also a homeschool mom of three kids and they think the pen is so cool. My oldest is 8 and is wanting some old-looking paper to write on with his own pen (he's learned about the declaration of independence and things like that) because now he wants one too. So, I'm hoping to be able to get another pen and an actual bottle of ink for myself soon and let him use the Ahab. Either that or get a Varsity, since they are pretty cheap incase he destroys it. Lol.
I also hope to one day learn copperplate. I'm an artistic person and am very visual, and I have always thought it was just so pretty.

Welcome April! So impressed your kids are learning the Constitution and writing. Light years away from my 8 yr old's Charter School experience!

Thanks VertOlive. I'm just happy my oldest is interested in these things. He's really into history and will spend time outside of school work learning about all of the wars and stuff like that.
