I've been been listening to various classical music selections on YouTube while I draw. This guitar adaptation of Paganini's Caprices for violin was rather remarkable.

Today would've been Ella Fitzgerald's 103rd birthday. Of all the Jazz music in my collection, Ella dominates by far (with Satchmo coming in 2nd). Nobody could scat like Ella, and her voice and style became a paradigm for generations of singers.

Online arguments are a lot like the Rocky Horror Picture Show.
As soon as the audience begins to participate, any actual content is lost in the resulting chaos and cacophony.
At that point, all you can do is laugh and enjoy the descent into debasement.

This seemed to go over like a lead balloon when I mentioned it in another forum, but here goes. No, not Led Zeppelin.
I really like this singer. Here she is in a concert setting.
But her rendition of the same song in her kitchen (that pesky plague, you know) is funnier.

Still on an instrumental jazz kick. Coltrane, Davis, Adderley, Jamal, and similar. Feels good to just chill and have Pandora select some good ones.

Gustav Holst: Songs and Part Songs - An Argo recording (ZRG 512) from the 1960's - with Peter Pears, Benjamin Britten and the Purcell Singers.
An album called The French Collection.
My barber gave it to me last fall after I mentioned starting French class at the local community college.
It includes "Sonia" by Patrick Juvet, "L'Amours est Toujours En Vacances" by Patricia Lavila, 28 A L'ombe by Jean Francois Maurice, etc ...
Listening to it on the way to class - and now, at home before class starts - gets me in the French mind set, and it's helped my pronunciation.
