Has anyone compared Noodler's Old Manhattan Black to Blackstone Barrister Black?
Comments and experiences appreciated.
Kind regards.

Not me. I'm not into blacks......
I haven't. I have a number of other black ink samples to try (Noodler's X Feather and HoD) and actually hadn't heard of these two. I would imagine you can get samples though. I haven't tried a Blackstone ink yet.
Wasn’t there some wacko ink contest to name the blackest black ink from 48 inked identical pens at a pens show a few years ago? Pennshows are just a faint memory now but ... you know, glory days...
I can't remember all the venues the results were posted at, probably at least at FPN. I'll see what I can dig up...
So far I'm not finding the actual show shootout. I *did* find one thing hosted here that was from a Posse thing back in 2015.
Persistence often pays off: here's the 2016 SF Pen Show Black Ink Shootout, report by Ricky here on FPG.

I believe Blackstone stopped production when the deadly virus of death inspired a worldwide lockdown. Many of their inks are sold out everywhere in the world.
