Hi, all. Here is another review of a lovely ink from the samples given me by Lady Onogaro.
This time we have Pilot Iroshizuku Ku-Jaku. in the description on several pen retailer sites it is intimated that this means Peacock. It is described as a deep blue turquoise.
Pen used is a Charcoal Grey Lamy Safari, medium nib. Paper is Georgia Pacific Premium Ink Jet and Lazer Paper, 24 weight.
The color of this ink in my opinion is really spectacular. Accordingly, this will be a very biased review. Fair warning.
It is a very vibrant, quite beautiful ink, definitely leaning to the blue side or turquoise.
Full disclosure; I purchased a full bottle of this ink as soon as I could, that is how much I like it. It will be a regular in my pens as long as I can get it.
The ink flows very well, and IMO is decently, but not overly wet. About 12-15 seconds dry time on this paper. Little to no bleed through on this paper, with this pen.
A bit pricey at around $28/50ml. It is also available in a 15ml bottle, which was the size for my wallet.
It is not waterproof, but quite water resistant. I took a washcloth, soaked it and wrung it out good, and smeared the page with it. The ink smeared and ran, but never became illegible.
All said, in my very biased opinion, a beautiful deep blue turquoise ink that is a pleasure both to write with and to look at.
Thanks for reading!
